PHOENIX — A five-story luxury hotel in Phoenix finished construction of its steel structure with roof placement last week ahead of the building’s late 2023 opening.
The Global Ambassador is located at The Grove on the corner of 44th Street and Camelback Road in Arcadia, a mixed-use development that also houses the Phoenix Suns and Mercury training facility, office spaces and luxury residences.
“This is the moment where the soul of The Global Ambassador begins to take shape and the community will see firsthand how detailed, curated and special this place will soon become,” Brian Frakes, co-developer of the hotel, said in a press release.”
The hotel is undergoing vertical construction on the first-level event pavilion as the next step toward its completion, according to the release.
Crews will install exterior finishes like windows, doors and brickwork in the coming weeks, according to a release.
The plan is for millwork, handmade tiles and ornate wallcoverings to begin installment in December.
The hotel from renowned restaurateur Sam Fox will include five original dining options such as a Parisian bistro and brasserie, a poolside restaurant with Mexican and Peruvian dishes and a rooftop restaurant and lounge with a Mediterranean-themed menu.
“The concepting, designing and planning is now in full execution mode with these elements coming together before we welcome travelers from all over the world next year,” Frakes said.
