PHOENIX — Police said Thursday they are investigating allegations of sexual offenses by a photographer contracted by a Buckeye elementary school.
The Buckeye Police Department said they were notified about the situation on Sept. 2.
Administrators at Freedom Elementary School said the photographer was on campus last month.
The investigation is in the early stages and the subject has not been arrested, police said.
The Liberty Elementary School District said it is indefinitely putting on hold any work involving the company from which the photographer was contracted.
“We are committed to the safety of our students and expect all contractors to adhere to the highest ethical practices and conduct,” Superintendent Lori Shough said in a press release.
“We will not tolerate behaviors that compromise the safety of our children.”
Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call the Buckeye police at 623-349-6411.
