Angry Chickz opening first Arizona location in Glendale on Friday

PHOENIX — California-based Angry Chickz Nashville Hot Chicken will make its Arizona debut with its first location slated to open in the West Valley on Friday.

The shop will open on the corner of 51st Avenue and Bell Road in Glendale with the grand opening event set to begin at 11 a.m.

Free merchandise will be given to the first 100 customers who arrive.

Angry Chickz offers chicken, with flavors ranging from no heat to extremely spicy, with sides such as fries, sliders, rice and mac and cheese.

Customers are able to try the hottest chicken challenge, rated at an “angry” heat level made with the Carolina Reaper, which currently holds the Guinness World Record for hottest chili pepper. They would be required to sign a release of liability waiver form before consumption.

Angry Chickz has 18 locations mostly scattered across California with one in Las Vegas.
