PHOENIX – Former President Donald Trump announced plans Friday to hold a rally for his preferred Arizona candidates in Mesa on Oct. 9.
Trump’s announcement says the event will be held at Legacy Sports Park, 6321 S. Ellsworth Road. The address coincides with the location of Bell Bank Park, the sprawling sports complex that opened next to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in January of this year. Legacy Sports Park was the working name of the facility until Bell Bank obtained naming rights.
“President Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America, delivers remarks in support of endorsed candidates and special guests Kari Lake, Republican Nominee for Governor of Arizona and Blake Masters, Republican Nominee for U.S. Senate in Arizona, and the entire Arizona Trump Ticket,” the announcement says.
The Sunday rally date is three days before Arizona starts early voting for the Nov. 8 general election.
Parking lots and vendor row are scheduled to open at 7 a.m., with doors opening at 11 a.m.
The guest speaker slate begins at 1 p.m., with Trump set to hit the stage at 4 p.m.
Free tickets are available online on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of two tickets per registered mobile number.
Trump last visited Arizona in July when he rallied for Lake, Masters and his other preferred Republican candidates in Prescott Valley before the August primary elections.
