PHOENIX — Legacy Sports USA announced Thursday more than 3 million visitors have attended Bell Bank Park in its first nine months of operations.

The 320-acre facility located at Ellsworth and Pecos roads near Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport topped venues across the Valley in terms of overall attendance, according to a press release.

It sits at 25th in attendance among sports facilities in the nation, following behind venues like Fenway Park and Dodger Stadium, park management said.

The complex features a 3,000-seat outdoor stadium, a 2,800-seat indoor arena, as well as 57 indoor volleyball courts, 41 pickleball courts, 20 basketball courts and eight baseball/softball fields.

There is also a 2.7-acre lawn for concerts and events, a 400-foot zip line and spaces for gymnastics, dance and cheer.

“We are so proud of how far we have come from our initial groundbreaking in October 2020 up until now, and that is a testament to our incredible Legacy Sports USA team, our corporate partners and sponsors, and of course the community,” CEO Chad Miller said in the release.

Since the soft opening in January, the venue has hosted more than 225 sports competitions, including national events like USA Gymnastics National Championships, Nike Tournament of Champions and PPA professional pickleball.

Other events hosted at the park include Jurassic Quest, Summer Nights series and Food Truck Fridays.

“Bell Bank Park is a massive project, and while we hit a few speedbumps early on due to the challenges of the COVID pandemic, labor shortages and supply chain issues, we are excited to see the facility thriving as we look to close out our first year in operation,” Miller said.
