Phoenix police investigate collision that left 1 dead, 2 injured

PHOENIX — Phoenix police were called Friday night after a motorcycle collided with another SUV and burst into flames, authorities said.
Firefighters arrived near Sweetwater Road and 35th Avenue and put out the flames while treating an adult female and 11-year-old male.
The female was transported to a nearby facility as a trauma patient in critical condition. The juvenile boy was transported in stable condition.
One adult male did not survive the crash.
The SUV driver stayed on the scene and is cooperating. Alcohol is not suspected.
No other details were made available and the investigation is ongoing.
