I-10 closure in East Valley, extensive Loop 303 closure in West Valley to slow weekend drivers

PHOENIX — Drivers in the East Valley will have to contend with an Interstate 10 closure for Broadway Curve project work while those traveling in the West Valley will deal with a 25-mile closure on Loop 303, according to state transportation officials.
In the East Valley, I-10 will be closed from U.S. 60 to the Loop 202 Santan Freeway from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday for paving work.
The westbound U.S. 60 ramp to eastbound I-10, eastbound I-10 on-ramps at 40th Street and Broadway Road, eastbound U.S. 60 ramps at Mill Avenue and both HOV lane ramps at the I-10/U.S. interchange will also be closed.
In the West Valley, northbound Loop 303 will be closed from Van Buren Street to Happy Valley Parkway from 10 p.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Saturday for pavement sealing.
Both I-10 ramps to northbound Loop 303 will be closed.
In Buckeye, westbound I-10 will be narrowed to one lane near Watson Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 4 p.m. Saturday and 9 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday for a freeway widening project.
Finally, I-17 in north Phoenix will be narrowed to two lanes in both directions between Dunlap and Peoria avenues from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for barrier wall work as part of Valley Metro’s light rail bridge project.
