Missing Valley man with memory problem found safe; Silver Alert canceled

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert was canceled Tuesday after a Phoenix man with cognitive problems was found safe, authorities said.

Armando Aguilar, 78, had gone missing Monday morning, his family told the Phoenix Police Department.

He had last been seen on foot near 40th and Van Buren streets, wearing a gray shirt, black shorts and a black orthopedic boot.

Aguilar has difficulty with his memory and can become disoriented.
