PHOENIX — Hoppy days are returning to the Valley with the ninth annual Urban Ale Trail set to makes its way to downtown Phoenix next month.

On Oct. 1, 27 bars and restaurants in the Downtown Core, Evans Churchill and Roosevelt neighborhoods will participate in the event from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Participating locations in Ale trail will offer various 4-ounce beer samples for $5 each, while also offering a complimentary snack, event organizers in a press release.

The first 200 people to arrive at the trailhead — the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel — will get a silicon pint glass, courtesy of signature restaurant Carcara.

From there, participants will partake in a self-guided beer tasting tour, visiting locations in any order they choose.

About 70% of restaurants and bars participating in the event are locally owned and operated.

A full list of participating locations can be found online.
