PHOENIX – Frontier Airlines is adding nonstop service between Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and two new Midwest destinations this fall.
The discount carrier said Wednesday it will debut direct flights from Arizona’s largest airport to Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International airports on Nov. 5.
The Detroit route will be offered daily, with Cincinnati service available four times a week. Flight frequency and destinations are subject to change.
Frontier is offering introductory fares starting at $89 for Detroit and $99 for Cincinnati until Sept. 13. The special rates are good for travel on select dates through Feb. 2.

Frontier is in the midst of a major expansion at Sky Harbor. Last month, the Denver-based airline announced plans to phase in 10 direct destinations from the airport starting in November.
Once all the new routes are running, Frontier will provide nonstop service to 23 destinations out of Sky Harbor.
The Phoenix expansion also includes a new crew base that will employ 180 pilots and 275 flight attendants when it opens in November.
“We now offer Phoenix-area consumers a wide selection of service from PHX to some of the most popular destinations in America,” Daniel Shurz, Frontier’s vice president of commercial, said in a press release.
“The future of our partnership with Phoenix Sky Harbor couldn’t be stronger as we prepare to open our new crew base.”
