PHOENIX — Country star Jason Aldean on Tuesday was the second headliner announced for the Birds Nest at the 2023 WM Phoenix Open.
Aldean will headline the second of four nights of the concert series on Thursday, Feb. 9. MacKenzie Porter, another country artist, will be Aldean’s opener.
“Jason Aldean is a top-notch worldwide entertainer known for his electric live performances,” Pat Williams, tournament chairman for the golf tournament, said in a press release.
“He is a great addition to our four-night lineup and is sure to put on quite a show this year for our Coors Light Birds Nest fans.”
The Chainsmokers, a Grammy Award-winning DJ duo, will perform Saturday, Feb. 11. Gryffin, another DJ, will open that night.
WM Phoenix Open said headliners for the other two nights will be announced soon.
The Birds Nest will run from Feb. 8-11 while the WM Phoenix Open will go from Feb. 9-12 next year in Scottsdale.
Patrons will be able to buy weekend passes this year that will grant access for all four days of the Birds Nest. General admission passes are $330 and VIP ones go for $1,100.
Weekend and single-day passes are available for purchase online.
“This new ticket option is a great opportunity for music fans to make the most of the concert series,” Birds Nest Chairman Billy Malkovich said in the release.
“This is very much in line with how music festivals package their tickets and we are looking forward to unveiling this for the first time at the Coors Light Birds Nest.”
Doors each day at the Birds Nest, located directly across from the main WM Phoenix Open tournament entrance at 82nd Street and Bell Road, will open at 3:30 p.m.
The 48,000-square-foot venue will have games, food and beverage options, and other entertainment before the opening performance takes the stage around 6:30 p.m.
Main acts will begin performing around 8:30 p.m.
The Birds Nest, sponsored by Coors Light, requires attendees to be at least 21 years old.
Super Bowl LVII will also be in the Valley that weekend, with the game scheduled for Feb. 12 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.
