3 injured in collision between Glendale police vehicle, passenger car

PHOENIX – Three people, including a police officer, were injured in a Glendale street collision early Tuesday, authorities said.

The Glendale Police Department said two women in one vehicle and an officer in a patrol unit smashed at 83rd and Glendale avenues around 3:45 a.m.

All three people were taken to the hospital with injuries that weren’t life-threatening.

The intersection was closed in all directions while the investigation is underway, police said.

No other details were immediately made available.
