Eastbound Interstate 10 reopens near downtown Phoenix following crash

PHOENIX — Eastbound Interstate 10 reopened near downtown Phoenix on Friday morning after being closed for about two hours due to a crash, state transportation agency officials said.
The freeway was closed at 16th Street at about 9:15 a.m. and opened at around 11 a.m., according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Three people were taken to the hospital in critical condition following the two-vehicle crash, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.
All traffic approaching the “mini-stack” interchange at State Route 51 had to exit at 16th Street.
The westbound lanes were not affected.
