PHOENIX – A 24-year-old man who fathered a child with a 16-year-old Phoenix girl was arrested Monday night on two counts of sexual conduct with a minor, authorities said.

Horacio Figueroa Cigarroa was booked into Maricopa County Jail two days after the Phoenix Police Department put out a missing persons bulletin for his teenage girlfriend and their newborn son.

Saturday’s bulletin said Figueroa, the teen and the baby had been missing since the previous Wednesday. They were last seen in a 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee near 51st and Southern avenues.

The teen’s family members told police they were concerned about her and the baby’s welfare, the bulletin said.

Police reported Monday afternoon that the teen was found safe and had been reunited with her family.

Figueroa’s arrest was announced on Tuesday.

No other details were made available.
