Angie’s Lobster rolls out first brick-and-mortar location in Mesa

Aug 30, 2022, 2:00 PM | Updated: 3:17 pm

PHOENIX – Angie’s Lobster took another step toward bringing affordable lobster to the Valley masses by launching its first brick-and-mortar location on Tuesday.

The drive-thru at Signal Butte and Guadalupe roads in Mesa is now open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Angie’s Lobster is the latest venture from the family that founded, and eventually sold, the Salad And Go chain.

The new business was built on efficiency to keep expenses down, allowing it to sell lobster roll-based meals for under 10 bucks. Prices include fries and a beverage.

Customers have three choices for their Maine lobster, which is served on a toasted and buttered bun.

Two — warm lobster with butter and chilled lobster tossed in mayonnaise — are priced at $9.99, while a fried lobster tail version goes for $7.99.

Drink options, which cost 79 cents when purchased separately, are limited to iced tea (unsweetened or lightly sweetened), lemonade and Angie’s Energy Drink.

Angie’s Lobster appeared on the scene in November 2021 with a food truck in Tempe at Baseline and Hardy roads, where a permanent location is expected to open in October of this year.

Including the Mesa and Tempe sites, the business aims to have eight restaurants up and running across the Valley by early next year.

Here are the other locations and their targeted opening dates, per to the Angie’s Lobster website:

  • Pinnacle Peak Road and 19th Avenue, Phoenix, October 2022.
  • Thunderbird Road west of 43rd Avenue, Glendale, December 2022.
  • Litchfield and Waddell roads, Surprise, early 2023.
  • Glendale and 83rd avenues, Glendale, early 2023.
  • Gilbert and Baseline roads, Gilbert, early 2023.
  • Gilbert and Queen Creek roads, Chandler, early 2023.
