PHOENIX — ASU police jumped into action last weekend, launching a multi-campus search for a student that was in need with an unknown location.

After receiving a report that a student was in need, officers from both the Tempe and Downtown Phoenix campuses utilized every resource at their disposable to successfully locate the student and transport them to safety, according to a press release.

The officers utilized cell-phone data to locate an area and matched nearby buildings with the brief description in the student’s report.

“A great job was done by all Tempe and Downtown patrol officers,” ASU Police Sergeant Jennifer Bryner said in the release.

“Special recognition is deserved for police aide Ashley Brandstrom, who diligently researched Downtown and Midtown areas of Phoenix, and found the building we had units canvassing for.”

The ASU Police Department reminds the community that they offer many resources online.

We want to hear from you.
