Chandler police seeking suspect who lured, sexually assaulted child

PHOENIX — Chandler police are looking for a suspect after a child was allegedly lured away from a school bus stop and sexually assaulted, authorities said.
The incident occurred July 29, the Chandler Police Department said, when a man driving a black golf cart allegedly took the child away from Islands Elementary School back to Alante at the Islands, a nearby apartment complex at McQueen and Warner roads.
The suspect is described as having light skin and dark hair and eyes. He was wearing a dark blue or black shirt with lettering and dark blue or black pants.
Police added that the maintenance staff of the apartment complex wears similar clothing and drives similar golf carts but is looking for other leads unrelated to the staff.
