PHOENIX – Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport added another low-fare airline to its roster Wednesday, with Breeze Airways offering nonstop service to South Carolina and Utah beginning in the fall.
Breeze Airways has scheduled twice-a-week trips between Phoenix and Charleston, South Carolina; and Provo, Utah, the airport announced. The first flights are to depart from Terminal 3 on Nov. 2.
The flights are the first nonstops to and from Charleston at the Phoenix airport and introductory one-way fares range from $89 to $189.
Introductory one-way flights to and from Provo range from $29 to $79.
“We look forward to its success and growth of destinations served from Phoenix,” Mayor Kate Gallego said of the Utah-based airline in a press release.
The airline says customers can rebook or cancel flights up to 15 minutes before takeoff time without being penalized.
That gives Arizona’s largest and busiest airport 23 airlines that reach more than 140 destinations.
“We’re excited to announce the first nonstop to connect these two fantastic destinations,” Breeze COO Michael Wuerger said.
Other airlines operating out of the terminal include low-cost carriers Allegiant Air and Frontier Airlines and big-scale operators Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines.
In the past year Sky Harbor, ranked the eighth-busiest in the country and No. 11 in the world last year, has brought in four new airlines and restored almost all international destinations put on pause because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
