Silver Alert canceled for 72-year-old man with dementia found safe

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert was canceled for a 72-year-old man diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease who was found at a Circle K in Chandler.
The alert for Zabaleta was issued just before 5 a.m. on Monday and was canceled after 3 a.m. Tuesday.
He was last seen leaving his home on foot around noon Saturday near Arizona Avenue and Pecos Road, authorities said. He was found safe and in good health.
When Zabaleta was asked where he slept, he told authorities he went walking around and slept in a park.
Roberto Zabaleta stands 5-foot-7, weighs 170 pounds and has brown eyes and grey hair.
He was wearing a white T-shirt with car designs on the back of the shirt, faded blue jeans and grey, white and blue tennis shoes.
