PHOENIX — A suspect in a month-long vehicle theft investigation was arrested in Phoenix last week, the Arizona Department of Public Safety announced in a press release Friday.

AZDPS Vehicle Theft Task Force detectives allegedly observed the suspect, 37-year-old Brandon A. Jones, operating and transporting multiple stolen vehicles from his residence to a family member’s.

Detectives served two search warrants and recovered five vehicles, including a 2017 flatbed trailer with a 2006 Toyota forklift, and a motor from a 2004 GMC Sierra, authorities said.

The vehicles were reported stolen across Arkansas and the metro Phoenix area.

A 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck, 2003 Tahoe Z71 SUV and a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer were reported stolen in Arkansas, while the motor, trailer and a 2003 GMC Yukon were allegedly taken in the Valley, authorities said.

The suspect was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on five counts of theft with means of transportation and one count of theft of controlled property, authorities said.
