PHOENIX — The Peoria Police Department is asking the public to help identify a suspect who allegedly stole a vehicle with a tow truck last week.

The alleged theft occurred near Beardsley Road and 91st Avenue on Friday around 3 a.m., the Peoria Police Department said in a press release on Wednesday.

A white 2022 GMC Sierra 4-door pickup truck with an Arizona license plate of 959261B was taken from a residential driveway, authorities said.

Surveillance video of the theft showed a white tow truck-type vehicle with a black tool compartment on the passenger side back into the driveway, hook the vehicle up and then drive away, authorities said.

The owner said the vehicle was current on payments and permission wasn’t given to anyone to take the truck.

There were no logos, markings or phone numbers listed on the tow truck, authorities said.

Anyone with information is asked to call contact the Peoria Police Department at (623) 773-8311 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (948-6377).

We want to hear from you.
