PHOENIX — Mark those calendars as the 49th annual Four Peaks Oktoberfest returns to Tempe Town Lake this fall.

The Bavarian-themed festival takes place Oct. 7-9 from 5 p.m. to midnight on Friday, 10 a.m. to midnight on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

General admission tickets are $20 on Friday and Saturday, while the event is free on Sunday. Presale tickets will be available for a discount. Those who are not old enough to enjoy the alcohol offerings of the festival can get in for free all three days, along with those who volunteer.

The family-friendly festival features more than just various beers and wine to try.

There are amusement rides for all ages, a marathon, dachshund races and live music to go along with food options including bratwursts, carnival treats and desserts.

Proceeds from the event go toward sending Tempe high school students to 10 cities around the world as part of the Tempe Sister Cities exchange program.

We want to hear from you.
