PHOENIX — It was a big weekend for a couple of Valley lottery players as two jackpots were hit, with one including a prize of nearly $1 million.

The bigger of the two jackpots was a Triple Twist ticket that was sold at a Circle K near Thunderbird Road and 35th Avenue in Phoenix, officials said Monday.

A player matched the winning numbers – 12, 24, 26, 31, 33 and 40 – from Sunday’s drawing for a grand prize of $975,000.

The other jackpot winner was for the Fantasy 5 game, where a ticket worth $152,000 was sold at a Safeway near Waddell and Litchfield roads.

The player matched the winning numbers – 4, 10, 22, 29 and 32 – from Saturday’s drawing.

Odds to win the jackpot for the Triple Twist game are 1 in 5,245,786, while the chances are better for the Fantasy 5 game at 1 in 749,398 to take home the big money.

It had been a while since a jackpot-winning ticket was sold in the Triple Twist game, the last coming at the beginning of May with a prize of $390,000.

The jackpot for the Triple Twist game reverts to $200,000 for Monday night’s drawing.

As for the Fantasy 5 game, the last jackpot-winning ticket was sold on July 5 for $156,000. The jackpot for Monday night’s drawing is $51,000.
