PHOENIX – Phoenix-born Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Stevie Nicks announced Monday her latest tour will make a stop in the Valley in the fall.

Nicks will play at Ak-Chin Pavilion Oct. 6, the 11th of 18 dates scheduled.

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Arizona time, promoter Live Nation said.

Vanessa Carlton will open for the 74-year-old Grammy-winning singer/songwriter for the majority of the tour, including Phoenix.

Nicks, who is the only woman inducted in the Hall of Fame twice – with iconic band Fleetwood Mac and as a solo artist – returned to live performances in May, after a two-year hiatus.

She canceled a handful of 2021 appearances scheduled at music festivals last August, citing the pandemic.

At the time Nicks said, “While I’m vaccinated, at my age, I am still being extremely cautious and for that reason have decided to skip the five performances I had planned for 2021.”

Nicks is known for hits including “Stand Back, “Stop Dragging My Heart Around,” “Rhiannon,” “Gypsy” and “Leather and Lace.”

Carlton, a pianist and singer/songwriter, is best known for her debut 2002 hit, “A Thousand Miles.”
