Woman airlifted to hospital after boat propeller strikes her leg at Lake Pleasant

PHOENIX — A woman was hospitalized Friday afternoon after she was struck by a boat propeller at Lake Pleasant just 45 minutes north from downtown Phoenix.
Deputies responded to a call for service just before 3 p.m. regarding a leg injury at the lake, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.
The woman, who hasn’t been named, was airlifted to the hospital and was alert and talking.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
No additional information was available.
