PHOENIX — The Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee is seeking 5,000 volunteers to serve as ambassadors in the lead-up to the February game in Glendale.

Volunteers in the TEAM AZ program will assist people in various Super Bowl LVII events across metro Phoenix.

Ambassadors will work at airports, hotels, Host Committee events and more.

“Having hosted the Super Bowl three times previously, Arizonans are well versed in how to welcome visitors and fans and help them enjoy their time here,” Jay Parry, president and CEO of the Host Committee, said in a press release.

“Creating a positive experience for guests is a top priority and TEAM AZ will be at the forefront of making that happen.”

Help is needed as early as August, when the Host Committee kicks off a slew of community events.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and go through a formal application process that includes a background check.

They also must be available to work at least three shifts that range from 4 to 8 hours.

Those selected will receive a custom jacket, polo shirt and hat to wear while on duty.

The Host Committee said volunteers will not receive Super Bowl tickets and won’t be needed inside State Farm Stadium on game day on Feb. 12.

Interested people can apply online.
