Search crews find body of man who jumped off fishing boat at Lake Pleasant

PHOENIX — Search crews on Monday found the body of a man who jumped off a fishing boat at Lake Pleasant and never resurfaced, authorities said.
The man, whose name has not been revealed, jumped off the boat to cool off at about 5:45 p.m. on Sunday and wasn’t wearing a life vest, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
The body was recovered in the area of Castle Creek Cove at about noon, MCSO said.
The identity of the man will be released Tuesday.
No other information was available.
