PHOENIX — A pair of local breweries are partnering to put on an Oktoberfest event in downtown Chandler this fall, featuring many attractions the German festival is known for.
Pedal Haus Brewery and SanTan Brewing Company will host the event on Oct. 1 from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park located at 3 S. Arizona Avenue.
“Oktoberfest is always one of the most festive and fun times of the year,” Alejandro Fontes, sales director with SanTan Brewing Company, said in a press release.
“We’re excited to partner with our friends and neighbors at Pedal Haus Brewery and look forward to serving our award-winning brews and spirits to patrons of the 2022 event in Chandler.”
Tickets are available online for $15, or $20 at the door.
The festival, which draws inspiration from the iconic annual festival held in Munich, Germany, will have beer from both breweries, including German-style Oktoberfests.
Attendees can also enjoy craft cocktails, German food like Bavarian-style soft pretzels and brats, as well as games and contests including stein holding, wiener toss and sausage eating competitions.
Julian Wright, founder and CEO of Pedal Haus Brewery, will be emceeing the contests.
“I’ll be emceeing the stein holding and sausage eating competitions, so grab your friends and lederhosen, this is going to be a fun event,” Wright said in the release. “We are stoked to be joining forces with our friends at SanTan to throw one of the best Oktoberfest events in the Valley this year.”
There will also be live music, with performances by Hit Rewind and The Dirt, as well as a Desert Polka party, the breweries said.
