Museum of Illusions coming to Arizona Boardwalk in Scottsdale

PHOENIX — A unique attraction coming to Arizona Boardwalk at Talking Stick in Scottsdale this fall will allow people to take mind-bending photos while learning about science.

The Museum of Illusions is set to offer more than 60 exhibits of optical illusions, holograms and interactive rooms that are fun for all ages. The opening date is to be announced.

“Museum of Illusions is an immersive, astonishing experience and is the perfect addition to Arizona Boardwalk’s diverse family-friendly entertainment options,” Ran Knishinsky, Arizona Boardwalk’s chief marketing officer and managing partner, said in a press release.

There will be plentiful photo opportunities that utilize optical illusions, holograms, props and vibrant backdrops to trick the eye, such as one that makes it appear as if people are walking on walls.

The attraction also teaches about vision, perception, the human brain and science so visitors can understand why illusions confuse the mind, according to the release.

“The Museum of Illusions incorporates this concept so well; parents, grandparents and even teachers are really going to be drawn to the fun and educational experience at this new attraction,” Knishinsky said.

The Arizona Boardwalk – which is also home to OdySea Aquarium, Butterfly Wonderland and The Science of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! – plans to announce two additional attractions coming to the venue soon, according to the release.

The Museum of Illusions currently has locations in Kansas City, Chicago, Dallas, New York and Orlando. Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., sites are opening soon.
