PHOENIX – Two people escaped a large house fire in Phoenix that took more than 50 firefighters to put out overnight.
The Phoenix Fire Department said in an email early Thursday no one was injured in the blaze near 43rd Avenue and Union Hills Drive.
A department spokesman said by the time crews reached the home, the flames were pouring out and the occupants were outside.
Firefighters had to maneuver around downed power lines and storage in front of the house and propane tanks in the back.
Streams of water from above were directed on to the house and put out the main body of fire.
Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
No other details were made available.
