PHOENIX – Authorities canceled a Silver Alert for a missing Phoenix man who was found safe Wednesday morning and reunited with family.

Oscar Valdez, 74, of Phoenix was found driving on Interstate 10 near Benson.

An officer with the Benson Police Department spotted the car and pulled Valdez over.

Benson is roughly 160 miles southeast of downtown Phoenix.

Valdez had last been seen Tuesday near Seventh Street and Indian School Road, driving a blue 2017 Nissan Versa bearing Arizona license plate CAA1702.

His family told the Phoenix Police Department that Valdez sometimes was confused or disoriented because of a medical situation.
