1 hospitalized after shooting in Anthem jewelry store; police search for suspect

PHOENIX — One person was hospitalized Tuesday evening after a shooting took place at a jewelry store in Anthem and police were still looking for the suspect, authorities said.

The shooting took place near Anthem Way and Gavilan Peak Parkway just after 6 p.m., according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

Police responded to the shooting shortly after receiving reports and found one person with possible life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

No additional information was available.

The investigation remains ongoing.
