PHOENIX — Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale this October will host a Halloween-themed balloon festival that promises activities for all ages.

Tickets are available now for the 10th Annual Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival on Oct. 28-29 at the sports complex at 7555 N. Pima Road.

The event, which runs from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. each night, features costume contests, more than 20 hot air balloons and tethered balloon rides.

There will also be more than 4,000 pounds of candy at the festival, with each hot air balloon being designated as a trick-or-treat stop.

A free kids zone offers more than 30 slides and attractions, such as inflatable bounce houses, slides and an obstacle course.

Other amenities of the festival include a haunted trail, live music, food and beverage options, market vendors and fireworks to conclude the evening.

More details, such as costume contest start times and parking information, can be found on the festival’s website.
