PHOENIX — Drivers going to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport over the weekend will have to detour around a closure of westbound Interstate 10.

The highway will be closed between U.S. 60 and 32nd Street from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday, the Arizona Department of Transportation said.

Also closed for the project are the westbound U.S. 60 and the southbound State Route 143 ramps to westbound I-10, the westbound I-10 on-ramps between Elliot Road to 40th Street and the westbound U.S. 60 on-ramps at McClintock Drive, Rural Road and Mill Avenue.

The closure is for crews to continue bridge work for the Broadway Curve Improvement Project, ADOT said.

Those who are headed to the airport during the time of the closure are advised to use the Sky Harbor Boulevard entrance from the Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway.

Drivers can access westbound I-10 beyond the closure by using the eastbound Loop 202 Santan Freeway or eastbound U.S. 60 to the northbound Loop 101 Price Freeway and then on to the westbound Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway.

People can reach the West Valley by using the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway west and north to connect with I-10 at 59th Avenue, ADOT said.
