PHOENIX — A Phoenix developer announced on Thursday the purchase of the Biltmore Commerce Center with plans for a $52 million renovation.

The building located near Camelback Road and 32nd Street will undergo renovations for open-planned workspaces that will be infused with resort-style health and wellness amenities, according to a press release from developer George Oliver.

With around 260,878 square feet and three stories, the building has numerous common areas, conference facilities and outdoor amenity spaces, while also sitting across the street from the Biltmore Plaza shopping center and a handful of luxury multifamily housing options.

“Our goal is to deliver a George Oliver office project in each of metro Phoenix’s top office submarkets, and Camelback Corridor is on the top of that list,” George Oliver Founder and Managing Partner Curt Kremer said in the release.

He added, “Employers want their office settings to promote interaction and employee wellness. Our projects overachieve on that at every level.”

The Phoenix-based developer has worked on Arbor in downtown Tempe, CASA in Phoenix’s Uptown Neighborhood, The Alexander and The Jonathan in downtown Chandler and Lofts at The District in north Scottsdale.
