CO+HOOTS co-working community opens in Mesa at Benedictine University

Jul 3, 2022, 6:30 AM

PHOENIX – A new CO+HOOTS co-working community for entrepreneurs, startups, small businesses and students opened Thursday in Mesa.

The space is located at Benedictine University on Main Street and Hibbert, in the Downtown Mesa Innovation District.

The facility is a public-private partnership involving the city, the university and CO+HOOTS.

It will be the home of the CO+HOOTS Institute for Entrepreneurship, where Benedictine University students can work alongside experienced entrepreneurs.

“The facility offers office spaces, conference rooms, desks, a phone booth for calls, a podcast studio and a kitchen in addition to the online resources and access to networking and support,” Mesa Vice Mayor Jenn Duff said in a press release.

“This will be Mesa’s one-stop-shop for entrepreneurs looking to start a business or small business owners looking to be part of a community of like-minded people.”

Mayor John Giles and U.S. Rep. Greg Stanton were among those on hand for Thursday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony, as were CO+HOOTS founders Jenny Poon and Odeen Domingo.

“Congratulations to Jenny Poon, Odeen Domingo, Team CO+HOOTS; you’ve come a long way from a forward-thinking idea more than a decade ago,” Stanton said at the ceremony.

“You’ve turned CO+HOOTS into one of the best co-working places in the entire United States of America.”

We want to hear from you.
