PHOENIX — Work on the Interstate 10 Broadway Curve Improvement project will close a portion of the highway near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport this weekend.

Eastbound I-10 will be closed between the State Route 51 Mini-Stack interchange and the U.S. 60 Superstition Freeway from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday for bridge construction and other work related to the project, the Arizona Department of Transportation said.

The southbound State Route 51 and westbound Loop 202 ramps to eastbound I-10 at the Mini-Stack, the southbound State Route 143 ramp to eastbound I-10 and the southbound I-17 on-ramps at Seventh Avenue and Seventh Street are all set to be closed for the project.

In the East Valley, the eastbound State Route 24 Gateway Freeway will be closed between the Loop 202 Santan Freeway and Ellsworth Road from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday for pavement maintenance.

The east- and westbound Loop 202 ramps to eastbound State Route 24 will also be closed, ADOT said.

In the West Valley, the eastbound I-10 off-ramp and eastbound on-ramp at Watson Road in Buckeye are scheduled to be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for utility work.

ADOT advises drivers to expect restrictions on Watson Road at I-10.

In north Phoenix, eastbound Greenway Road will be closed for two weeks near Interstate 17 between 29th Avenue and 25th Drive from 9 p.m. Friday until July 8 for work on a regional drainage system project.

Drivers should expect I-17 on- and off-ramp closures at Greenway Road, ADOT said.
