PHOENIX — After parts of the East Valley saw rain over the weekend, more rain is forecasted in the Valley this week.

Chances for showers or thunderstorms resume Tuesday night and will reach 20%, according to the National Weather Service.

The chances will remain at 20% until Thursday and Friday night when they’ll jump up to 30%, mainly before 11 p.m.

Heading into the weekend, chances for rain drop back down to 20% on Saturday and Sunday, with temperature highs entering the tripe-digit numbers.

The forecast called for highs of 105 on Tuesday, 106 on Wednesday and near 109 on Thursday.

Friday through Sunday could see temperature highs of 107 and 108. The lows are expected to hover around 86 and 88 degrees from Tuesday through Sunday.

Rain passed through parts of the East Valley on Saturday, with the most rain recorded in Gold Canyon and Superstition Mountains, according to the Flood Control District of Maricopa County.

A trace of rain passed through Sky Harbor Airport, which hasn’t recorded measurable rainfall on the date since 1967.
