PHOENIX — The Arizona Humane Society is offering $5 curbside adoptions this week for kittens, cats or critters beginning Wednesday and running through Friday.

Dogs are not part of the promotion as the adoption and decision-making process tends to take a bit longer, the nonprofit said, but regular appointments with standard fees can be found on the organization’s website.

The Arizona Humane Society is offering the convenience of curbside adoptions as it is caring for 913 felines and needs to make room for more.

Of those felines, 769 are kittens under 16 weeks old, the nonprofit said.

People can view adoptable pets on the Arizona Humane Society website and then choose either the South Mountain Campus or the Scottsdale PetSmart.

They can then select the “curbside adoption appointment” option.

Matchmakers will be in touch to match the adopter with the pet prior to the appointment, the nonprofit said.

Arizona Humane Society said the process is quick and convenient, allowing people to welcome their new friend into the home even sooner.

We want to hear from you.
