Suspect arrested in Goodyear following armed robbery at pawn shop

PHOENIX — A suspect was arrested in Goodyear following an armed robbery at a pawn shop, authorities said.
Julian Torres, 29, was booked on three counts of armed robbery with a deadly weapon stemming from the May 31 incident, according to the Goodyear Police Department.
Officers were called to Pawn 1st, located near Litchfield Road and Van Buren Street, at about 11 a.m.
Torres had already left the shop, but a lieutenant in the area located the vehicle he was suspected to be riding in.
Torres, a passenger in the car, was arrested after the vehicle was pulled over before it got onto Interstate 10, police said.
Torres’ bond was set at $10,000.
No other information was available.
