Tucson-based Eegee’s selects new CEO, eyes expansion outside of Arizona

PHOENIX — Tucson-based fast food chain Eegee’s on Tuesday announced a new top executive and said expansion outside of Arizona could be coming in the future.
Industry veteran Jason Vaughn will take over as CEO, replacing the retiring Ron Petty.
“I feel fortunate to now be part of Eegee’s incredible legacy — one that I take very seriously, as I know the loyalty of Eegee’s supporters is unmatched — and look forward to what’s to come,” Vaughn said in a press release.
Vaughn will be based in Phoenix. The chain has opened three locations in the metro area in the past year with a fourth scheduled to open this summer at 35th and Peoria avenues.
Eegee’s recent foray into the Valley could just be the start of its expansion outside of Tucson.
The chain said demand has caused it to consider bringing its signature frozen drinks to different states.
Eegee’s has 31 locations across Tucson, Casa Grande and the Valley.
“The brand is nearly synonymous with Arizona and I’m excited to help bring its unique offering and first-class customer experience to more areas across the state and even beyond,” Vaughn said.
