PHOENIX — Four people, including a 9-year-old female, were transported to a local hospital in an ambulance after a collision occurred between an SUV and a U-Haul truck in Phoenix on Sunday morning.

Firefighters dispatched to the area of 20th and Jefferson streets near downtown for reports of a two-vehicle collision, authorities said.

They found a U-Haul on its side and an SUV resting on its cab, the driver’s side.

Firefighters extricated two people from the SUV and treated five patients, authorities said.

The 9-year old female, an adult female and an adult male who were in the SUV were transported to the hospital in critical condition, authorities said.

An adult male from the U-Haul was in stable condition.
