PHOENIX — A Tucson woman was sentenced to prison for involvement in drug trafficking, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Arizona said Friday.
Selene Marie Camacho, 48, was sentenced Thursday to four years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine.
Camacho was arrested in June 2020 after she gathered a load of narcotics near Mount Hopkins and was transporting them in three backpacks, according to a press release.
Police found 1.46 kilograms of cocaine, 342.5 grams of heroin and 19.19 kilograms of methamphetamine, as well as a loaded hand gun, authorities said.
Camacho also faces four years of supervised release.
Homeland Security Investigations investigated Camacho, while the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Arizona handled the prosecution.
