PHOENIX — Eegee’s trek into the Valley will continue this summer when the Tucson-based fast food chain opens its first location in Phoenix.

An official opening date has yet to be announced, but Eegee’s will open the location at 35th and Peoria avenues, according to a press release. (UPDATE: The restaurant is scheduled to open July 7.)

The restaurant hosted a hiring fair in the parking lot of the under-construction spot earlier in June from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to staff the new location.

Available positions included cashiers, cooks and shift leads.

Those interested who can’t attend the job fair can apply online.

It’ll be the fourth Valley Eegee’s location to open in the past year.

The first Gilbert location, near Crismon Road and U.S. 60, opened in July 2021 and a Mesa one opened in November 2021.

A second Gilbert restaurant opened in March.

Eegee’s has more than 20 locations across Tucson and has been in business since 1971.

We want to hear from you.
