73-year-old man dead in Phoenix after being hit by vehicle while crossing road

PHOENIX — A 73-year-old man died Monday after he was hit by a vehicle while crossing the road in Phoenix, authorities said.

Jesus Saenz was trying to cross 43rd Avenue near Vista Avenue at about 7:05 p.m. when he was hit by the car, according to a press release from the Phoenix Police Department.

Sanez was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene, complied with the investigation and didn’t display any signs of impairment.

No other information was available.
