2 suspects arrested after nearly 150 pounds of cocaine found during Arizona traffic stop

PHOENIX — Two suspects were arrested after nearly 150 pounds of cocaine were recovered during a traffic stop in Arizona, authorities said Friday.
Troopers pulled over a 2017 Volvo commercial vehicle with a trailer on eastbound Interstate 8 near Gila Bend on May 18, according to a press release from the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
A narcotics dog sniffed out what turned to be 144.6 pounds of cocaine that was concealed in the truck’s sleeper-berth closet, DPS said.
The driver, 36-year-old Albi Naska, and his passenger, 38-year-old Victor Nikitin, were arrested.
Both men, who are Canadian, were booked into Maricopa County Jail on charges include possession, transportation and sale of a narcotic drug.
No other information was available.
