PHOENIX – What do you think Boardwalk, Park Place and other board spaces would be if Monopoly were set in Scottsdale?

Top Trumps USA is trying to answer that question as it develops a version of the iconic game based on the trendy Phoenix suburb.

“From bustling nightlife to legendary art galleries and everything in between, we are excited to create an accurate portrayal of what the Valley and visitors love about Scottsdale,” Katie Hubbard, spokeswoman for the game maker, said in a press release Tuesday.

Top Trumps USA, which is creating Monopoly Scottsdale under license from Hasbro, is seeking input from the public as well as local businesses and nonprofits who want to participate in the process.

Recommendations and business inquiries can be emailed to scottsdale@toptrumps.com.

The game creators shouldn’t have much trouble filling up the high-end properties on the board, with a slew of luxury resorts, upscale shopping centers and exclusive golf clubs to choose from.

Monopoly Scottsdale might even need a few extra Luxury Tax spaces. But will there still be Free Parking?

Top Trumps USA says the game will be available online and in retail stores, including at CVS locations, in January 2023.

The company already offers a variety of localized Monopoly games, including versions set in Brooklyn, Texas Hill Country and Palm Springs.

The community editions are listed on the game maker’s website for $39.95.

We want to hear from you.
