PHOENIX — Fourteen-time Grammy Award winner Kendrick Lamar will perform at Footprint Center on Sept. 10 as part of  “The Big Steppers Tour,” the rapper announced Friday.

With over 60 stops, the world tour travels across North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Lamar will be joined by his cousin, rapper Baby Keem, and Tanna Leone, an artist signed to Lamar’s pgLang media company.

The 34-year-old critically acclaimed artist released his fifth studio album, “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers,” on Friday.

It’s the first album Lamar has released since 2017, when he dropped “DAMN” which won the Grammy for best rap album and was nominated for album of the year.

Aside from being a part of the 2022 Super Bowl half time show, Lamar has only performed two other times since 2020 at Day N Vegas in November 2021 and at Coachella on April 22.

His next trip to Arizona will mark the seventh time Lamar has headlined a performance in the state and the first time since 2018.

Lamar’s first headline performance in Arizona was in 2011 at The Clubhouse in Tempe. A year later, he would perform at Club Red in Mesa.

Now over a decade later, Lamar will perform in front of nearly 20,000 people at Footprint Center.

We want to hear from you.
