PHOENIX — Arizona Game and Fish recently introduced a new option that will allow people to automatically renew their hunting and fishing licenses upon expiration.

“Arizona’s annual licenses are valid for 365 days from the date of purchase, but not everyone remembers when their licenses expire,” Doug Cummings, Arizona Game and Fish assistant director, said in a press release.

“The voluntary auto-renew option was added to improve customer convenience so they don’t have a gap when their license expires.”

Auto-renewal is available for resident and nonresident hunting and fishing licenses, as well as a combination of the two.

Customers can add auto-renewal to their account on the department’s online portal.

The department said credit cards specifically for license auto-renewals will not be used for draw applications or any other product.

Those who opt for the convenience will receive an email 10 days before the expiration of the licenses enrolled in auto-renew, the department said, as well as once the transaction is successful with a link to access the new license.

We want to hear from you.
