Goodyear police arrest suspect in fatal hit-and-run of 13-year-old on bike

PHOENIX – Police in Goodyear said they arrested a suspect in the hit-and-run death of a 13-year-old boy earlier this week.
Richard Romo, 44, was taken into custody Thursday evening in the neighborhood where Dylan Buensuceso was struck while riding his bicycle, the Goodyear Police Department said in a press release.
Romo was booked on two counts connected to leaving the scene of a fatality of injury.
A white Ford truck collided with the boy and the bike near 182nd and San Gabriel drives Tuesday afternoon.
Dylan, an eighth-grader at Estrella Mountain Elementary School, was taken to a hospital, where he died.
No other information was made available about the arrest or the suspect.
